once again
Buonanotte a tutti voi
non vi disturberò,
i giornali consumati
sparsi sul comò,
nei vostri sogni complicati
siete immersi già,
fra poco il suono della sveglia
vi sorprenderà.
Le lenzuola accolgono
già tutti tranne me,
ma che rumore insolito
i miei passi sul pavé,
le strade che si allargano,
c'è un gatto sulla via,
lui cerca amore e cibo,
io coltivo una mania.
Sonnambulismo è una parola
che vi meraviglierà,
ma quante cose questa notte
strana mi rivelerà,
sonnambulismo è il desiderio
di sfuggire ad un cliché,
sereno, allegro, malinconico
cammino senza te.
Guardo sorridendo
le vetrine e le réclame,
e percorro zigzagando
le corsie dei tram,
mi metto a indovinare il sole
dove sorgerà,
c'è tanto tempo per pensare
quanta libertà.
Sonnambulismo per sfuggire
alla cattiva compagnia,
equilibrismo tra le strade
sempre piene di follia,
sonnambulismo è una finestra
che non s'illuminerà,
sonnambulismo ed un telefono
che non risponderà.

To make small quick jumpy movements
irregular random movement
vibratory motion
First Known Use: 1929
fluctuations in the image on a television screen or in copy received by facsimile transmission, caused by interference or by momentary failures of synchronization.
Random variation in the timing of a signal, especially a clock.
a number of hardware problems, such as a slow refresh rate,
a bad connection between the video adapter and monitor,
a hardware malfunction in the monitor, or poor synchronization in the signals being sent;
a nearby electrical conduit or transformer creating a higher-than-usual local magnetic field level.
a type of packet delay where the delay has an impact on the quality of the voice conversation.
A signal distortion caused when a carrier signal is not synchronized to its reference timing positions
can cause transmission errors and loss of synchronization for high-speed synchronous communication links.
errors in the timing of sample acquisition due to rapid amplitude changes
also known as Sample Offset Uncertainty
introduces some distortion and phase discrepancy
Higher frequencies are more susceptible

Yam entry
Although it is uncertain from which country yams originated, yams are one of the oldest food plants known. They have been cultivated since 50,000 BC in Africa and Asia. In addition to these continents, yams also currently grow in the tropical and subtropical regions of North and South America.
Choose yams that are firm and do not have any cracks, bruises or soft spots. Avoid those that are displayed in the refrigerated section of the produce department since cold temperature negatively alters their taste.
Yams should be stored in a cool, dark and well-ventilated place where they will keep fresh for up to ten days. They should be stored loose and not kept in a plastic bag. Keep them out of exposure to sunlight or temperatures above 60°F (around 15°C) since this will cause them to sprout or ferment. Uncooked yams should not be kept in the refrigerator.
Purée cooked yam with a little milk and season with tamari, coriander, cumin and cayenne.
As yam has an earthy, deep taste, it nicely complements darker meats such as venison.
Add chunks of yams to your next stir fry or pan of roasted vegetables. Roasted yams, fennel, onions, and mushrooms are a delicious combination.
Research has shown some nutritional advantages to roasting over boiling when it comes to yams, so if you are deliberating over these two cooking methods, we recommend that you choose roasting. Steaming is a wet-heat method that avoids submersing the food in water and risking excessive leeching of water-soluble nutrients.

Yam, from the Canaanite word Yam, (Hebrew ים) meaning "Sea", is one name of the Ugaritic god of Rivers and Sea. Yam is the deity of the primordial chaos and represents the power of the sea untamed and raging; he is seen as ruling storms and the disasters they wreak. Yam is a deity of the sea and his palace is in the abyss associated with the depths, or Biblical tehwom, of the oceans.
What do you call a stolen yam?
A: a hot potato**
What is shakespeare's most famous yam related play?
A: yamlet

boxers day
Today we are re-introducing the marmosets to the interwebs. pygmy marmosets, golden marmosets, etc.. etc.. so on and so forth. stay tuned for a Marmoset vs. Swarf photo-collage-edelic super-object. just waiting for a hyper-sphere of photoshop-ness to float in from the ultra-dimension and appear "adjustable". there's orange ink gushing out of the keyboard, gotta go!
Marmoset
Marmosets are the 22 New World monkey species of the genera Callithrix, Cebuella, Callibella, and Mico.
Most marmosets are about 20 centimetres (8 in) long. Relative to other monkeys, they show some apparently primitive features: they have claws rather than nails, and tactile hairs on their wrists. They lack wisdom teeth, and their brain layout seems to be relatively primitive. Their body temperature is unusually variable, changing by up to 4 °C (7 °F) in a day.

Marmosets exhibit germline chimerism, which is not known to occur in nature in any other primate. Germline chimerism occurs when the germ cells (for example, sperm and egg cells) of an organism are not genetically identical to its own.

It has recently been discovered that marmosets can carry the reproductive cells of their (fraternal) twin siblings, because of placental fusion during development. (Marmosets almost always give birth to fraternal twins.)

Marmosets are highly active, living in the upper canopy of forest trees, and feeding on insects, fruit and leaves. They have long lower incisors, which allow them to chew holes in tree trunks and branches to harvest the gum inside; some species are specialised feeders on gum.

Callithrix comes from ancient Greek and means "beautiful fur." Marmoset is from the French marmouset, uncertain etymology.

Wied's Marmoset [pictured below] is highly social, spending much of its time grooming. It has individually distinctive calls, and it communicates through gestures and olfactory markings as well. Unlike other marmosets, Wied's Marmoset lives in groups consisting of 4 or 5 females and 2 or 3 males (plus children). They are matriarchal, and only the dominant female is allowed to mate.
It is eaten by birds of prey (the Harpy Eagle, the Gray Hawk, the Roadside Hawk and the White-tailed Hawk), felines (the Jaguar, Jaguarundi and Ocelot) and snakes in tropical and subtropical forests of southeastern Brazil.
The coloring of Wied's Marmoset is mostly black, with white markings on cheeks and forehead. It has rings on its tail and black tufts of fur coming out of its ears.
The monkey is mentioned in Shakespeare's Tempest, when Caliban says he will instruct his new master Stephano "how to snare the nimble marmoset" [for eating], on the no-man island where the play takes place (Act 2, Scene 2).
